SPANKING TIMING

This page is not about timing as in the time of day , but is about ways of timing the course of a spanking . It is a control issue ( see  SPANKING POWER EXCHANGE  page ) in the sense that the participants relinquish control over the time that a spanking takes and/or when blows are struck .

OVERALL TIMING

Overall timing can be left to a variety of timekeeping devices ( or their digital counterparts - free timers for you computer are available ) :

Hourglasses offer a visual indication of the time remaining :

The spankee may set the hourglass up when they are ready , of course knocking it over is not a good idea ( in most cases ) :

Egg timers are particularly useful because of their short timing period , this timer is variable :

This one may be useful in the case of those who like to overuse the telephone : 

Electrical timers , especially the randomly variable type may be used with a radio or light attached :

 Another timing method is to use television ( or radio ) programs and spank during advertising periods , the appearance of particular actors ( or of bottoms or whatever ) .

The same applies to using CD's ( Ravel's  BOLERO  is excellent both for overall and blow timing ) and videos etc . In fact any uncontrolled variable event may be used .

Timers may be improvised using suspended water or sand filled containers which have a small hole to release the contents .

TIMING OF BLOWS

The timing of the blows may be controlled by using a metronome ( or it's digital counterpart ) . Spanking to the beat of music is another method . A dripping tap will do at a pinch .

The above suggestions may be mixed and matched to provide a great degree of variety in spankings . The granting of consent to be spanked is most certainly added to when the duration and the rate of the spanking is unknown .
