There are some " causes "  which we feel strongly about but do not necessarily relate to the rest of this site . Some are deadly serious , others less so . Previous causes : Censorship   ,  "SIN "   and  Australian Referendum  . We now have   Australian  ( which also discusses  " Afghan Refugee Crisis Onboard the Norwegian ' MV Tampa ' at Christmas Island " ,  Fiji  ,  Timor  ,  Law and Order  and  WORLD VIEW  pages to put our views on contemporary   issues . Our  Human Rights  page  has a general overview of other related areas . Some of these pages are incorporated into other sites and are worded accordingly .

Why do we raise these matters ?  Rational self interest . For example  ,with Censorship , we lose our rights to free speech . If the " Sin's " of the world have their way we will also lose this right . If we let what has happened in Timor go on on our doorstep it shows a lack of moral courage ,creates another group of refugees which have to be housed etc and sends the wrong message about our belief in basic human values . This site exists because these values let it exist .This is why we have our equalitarian approach towards spanking because it does not matter what form of oppression the individual suffers  ( political ,racial , economic , sexual , etc. ) , ultimately there is an accounting ( some call this concept " karma " ) and revolt against the oppressor.

We thank those who have suggested other causes , such as  what is now happening to women in Afghanistan , but we must stay focused on our mission .
